Some more photos

The first work day of daylight saving went OK, surprisingly. I even got to go for a very long walk tonight, up hill and down dale going to the local fish shop on the way. They had some really yummy brill/turbot in the window. I had to carry the white parcel up hill and down dale home but it was worth it as I tucked into this very delish and fresh fish for dinner. Where food is concerned, I am so easy to please. Add to that a large glass and I'm very easy to please.

Tonight I am sitting in front of the computer working on my photos, listening to music in complete peace and quiet. I have chosen to add two more of Roma here. The first is the Roma skyline seen from Castel Sant'Angelo and the other the Castel in the early morning light from Bernini's Pont Sant'Angelo. Di and I enjoyed taking photos in the early morning light, minus the tourists for the most part. In Roma, I could be a morning person. I just have to have the right motivation I guess.

I used to work for an Italian company which was based in Rome. For five years, the gits promised to bring me over on business. Never did. Will always regret it - working for them more than missing out on Rome, but it's a close thing :-)

Di's and your photos almost make me nostalgic for a place I've never been . . . it looks stunning

Thanks for your comment. Yes Roma is amazing. I took heaps of photo, such a pleasure with so much to see.
I can't believe you didn't get to Rome when it's so close to Dubai. Your time will come, soon I hope, and it will be as special as mine was. Di was a wonderful guide, we had a great time chilling after busy times for both of us.

You know, in dredging through blogs, I seek out travel scenes... Most are actually depressing and I have a feeling of dryness and dust and alienation. Hopelessness even.

I have been to Rome and Venice and most of the places that you have photographed.

Your photos are alive and gives one a sense of hunger to go back and see again and get what I missed. The very sense that you have managed to capture.

Thanks.

I am a very amateur photographer so your comments are appreciated. I photograph the scenes I feel an affinity with, some work some don't.

I have just printed a selection from my travels, gave me very itchy feet. My next trip is in the planning stages, can't wait.
